Newsplint - Company Overview

Newsplint started life over 20 years ago as a privately run business, acting as the sole UK distributor for Waldemar LINK® a German orthopaedic implant manufacturer.

LINK®, a family owned business established in Hamburg in 1948, has long been respected for its vision, quality and ongoing campaign to strive for better patient outcomes. Newsplint, United Drug and indeed our customers respect and appreciate these values.

Newsplint also manufactures and supplies its own range of products for use in orthopaedic procedures, Coremus™ Instrument Kits enable a surgeon to remove unknown or damaged metalwork from patients quickly and effectively.

Since January 2012 Newsplint has also been the sole UK distributor for Stille surgical instrumentation. Stille are a Swedish company, specialists in manufacturing high quality surgical instrumentation for all surgical disciplines.

Through our partnership with LINK Newsplint is able to provide a vast range of implants and associated instrumentation addressing many aspects of joint arthroplasty ranging from the most basic primary systems to complex revision and custom made prostheses. These implant ranges are supported by excellent long term clinical results with many being best in class products internationally. These products are represented in the market by a skilled team of highly experienced professionals who can help and advise on product selection and use.

In 2003 Newsplint became a division of United Drug Medical, which operates in the UK as a division of United Drug (plc). You may already be familiar with some of UD Medical’s other companies - Pyramed, Mantis Surgical, Imotech Medical, and Unified Medical Products. Across the group we hold extensive medical, sales and distribution expertise, which covers Orthopaedic, Cardiology, Radiology, Endoscopy and Surgical specialties and now includes absorbents and the dressings packs market.
